Mexican Revolution

Mexico was unstable. There wasn't a clear leader. There was a period of armed rebellion between the people of Mexico and widespread poverty. A new constitution was written in 1917. After years of turmoil, Mexico held their first free election in 2000.

• Some took on a new identity permanently while others resumed their role as a woman
