• Absorbs

Reflection

• What is reflection?

• What objects reflect light?

• What is happening to light when it gets reflected?

Reflection of colors

• When we look at an object, whatever color we see is the color that is being reflected back to us.

• Objects that appear white are reflecting ALL colors of visible light.

Absorption

• What does it mean to absorb something? (think about a sponge)

• Absorption happens when an object doesn't reflect certain colors of visible light back to us.

• Objects that appear black absorb ALL colors of visible light.
