Materials Needed

• Washer & Dryer

• Dirty Clothes

• Detergent

• Dryer Sheets

• Laundry Basket

• Hangers

Washing Process

• Gather all dirty laundry and sort into piles by color (dark and light)

• Check dirty laundry for stains and treat if necessary

• Check pockets and remove anything inside

• Place dirty laundry in the washer (do not over fill)

• Fill laundry detergent cup with appropriate amount of soap for size of load and pour around the clothes

• Choose the appropriate temperature (dark=cold; light=warm/hot)

• Close the lid and press START

Drying Process

• Remove clothes from washer and place in dryer

• Put a dryer sheet in the dryer with the clothes to prevent static

• Close the dryer door

• Clean out the dryer lint vent and throw lint away

• Choose the apprpriate setting for clothes (timed dry, delicate, etc.)

• Press START

Hanging or Folding Clothes

• Make sure the clothes in the dryer are dry

• Take each piece out and determine if it should be folded or hung

• If it needs to be folded you may place it in a laundry basket and fold it after the others have been hung

• If something needs to be hung, place it on a hanger and hang it on clothes rack

• Once all laundry is folded or hung, put it away (where they belong...not on your bed!)
