暗記しなくてOK

過去進行形

• 過去のある時点で進行中の動作 ＝ 過去の実況中継

• 過去において繰り返し行われた動作 =「いつも～してばかりいた」 例) Lucy was always telling lies.

• 過去のある時点から見た近い未来の予定　　　　　　= 往来発着・計画約束による行為 例)The actor was visiting Japan, but their schedule was canceled.

• 知覚・感覚を表す動詞 例) see / hear / feel / smell(～の匂がする) / taste(～の味がする)

• 心理的状態・感情を表す動詞 例) hate / love / like / know / believe / think / want

進行形にできない動詞

継続的な状態を表す動詞

= 5秒おきに中断・再開できないもの

例) She resembles her mother.

5秒ごとに母親に似なくなって、また似てくる、、、

なんてことはない！
