Rights and Rules

Why are rules important?

The children in the photograph are following a rule. The children have been told to form two lines. Rules help guide people’s behavior.

School rules help keep children safe. For example:

*by forming two lines, the teachers can easily make sure no one gets lost.

*School rules also help children learn. Many schools have rules that children must complete homework.
