NICANOR ABELARDO

He studied music at the Chicago Music College and was influenced by the musical styles of Schoenberg, Hindemith and Stravinsky.

* was a Filipino composer who performed as a concert pianist during the American colonial period.  

* Among his many piano works " Ang Larawan" which are in the romantic bravura style of Franz Liszt. 

* ​founded Centro Escolar de Senoritas, Conservatory of Music, created the Buencamino Music Academy in 1930, were in Nicanor Abelardo was one of his students .

FRANCISCO SANTIAGO

 He was known as the “Father of the Kundiman” and belongs to the “Triumvirate of Filipino Composers.

Santiago’s music was Romantic in style, incorporating Western forms and techniques with folk materials
