What do we know?

 To find the area of the circle, we use A= π×r2To\ find\ the\ area\ of\ the\ circle,\ we\ use\ A=\ \pi\times r^2  Can you see that the shaded region could fit in the circle about 6 times?

Finding the surface area

  • You need to find the area of each of the sides and then total them

  • Since the triangles are the same, we can just add another triangle in to get the total of the two triangles.
