The Books I Read

Books are like people, they are different.

In our school library, I can find all sorts of books.

1. Fiction books

These are books which tell an imaginary story, the events and the people are all made up (imagined) by the writer.

2. Nonfiction books

These are books that tell true stories and facts that happened. The stories often involve real people and events.

3. Comic books or Graphic novels

The stories in these books are presented with illustrations, images and drawings.

4. Fantasy Books

These books are fiction stories that include magic, witchcraft and mythology.

5. Horror Stories

These books include scary stories.

They are fiction books that tell stories about the future, space and technology.

7. Biographies

These books tell the real story of famous people, like presidents, scientists, actors and pop stars.

8. Cook Books

They are books with food recipes. It tells you how to prepare and cook some types of food.

9. Dictionaries

A dictionary is a reference book where you can look up the meaning of words and phrases.

Encyclopedias

A reference book or a set of books (many books) that give information about different topics and subjects.
