It is the first time when Harry knows that he is a wizard.
He is told this by Rubeus Hagrid (Gamekeeper at Hogwarts), Using a very famous phrase,"Yer a wizard, Harry"

Diagon Alley is a place in London where witches and wizards can get all of their magical supplies

Harry bought his wand at Ollivander's a renowned place for wand.
His wand is Eleven inches, holly, and has a phoenix feather core
We get to know by Mr. Ollivander that phoenix feather his wand had, was the same phoenix feather that You-Know-Who (Voldemort) had in his wand

After boarding the Hogwarts express and meeting Hermione Granger for the first time, Harry finally reaches Hogwarts, where his mother (Lily Potter) and father (James Potter) had learnt their magic

The Durslyes, consisting of Aunt Petunia, Uncle Vernon and Dudley were the guardians of Harry until he was at Hogwarts
Unfortunately, they were Muggles (Non-magic people) and treated Harry very shabibly
They wanted to put an end to Harry's "abnormality" by preventing him from going to Hogwarts, but they could not
