Types of nouns
Dear students, in class 5th you will learn about 7 types of nouns. They are collective nouns, abstract nouns, concrete nouns, common nouns, proper nouns, countable nouns and uncountable nouns. You will learn them in details in next slides

Common and Proper Nouns
A proper noun is a special name given to a particular person, place, or thing.
Examples of Proper Noun: Steven, Africa, London, Monday.
A common noun is a general name of a person, place or a thing.
Examples of Common Nouns: person, country, city, day
Trick : In written English, only proper nouns begin with capital letters.
