Produto do tipo (x + a)(x+b)

 $\left(x\ +a\right)\left(x\ +\ b\right)=x^2\ +\left(a\ +\ b\right)x\ +ab$ 

Outra maneira de escrever

•  $\ \left(x+a\right)\left(x+b\right)=x^2\ +Sx\ +P$  

•   $\ S\ é\ a\ soma\ \left(a+b\right)\ e\ P\ é\ o\ produto\ \left(ab\right)$  

Exemplos:

•  $\ \ \left(x+5\right)\left(x+2\right)=x^{2\ }+\left(5+2\right)x+5\cdot2=x^{2\ }+7x+10$  

•  $\ \ \left(x+2\right)\left(x+4\right)=\ x^2+\left(2+4\right)x+2\cdot4=x^2+6x+8$  

•  $\ \ \left(x-1\right)\left(x+7\right)=x^2+\left(-1+7\right)x+\left(-1\right)\cdot7=x^2+6x-7$  

•  $\ \left(x-8\right)\left(x-10\right)=x^2+\left(\left(-8\right)+\left(-10\right)\right)x+\left(-8\right)\cdot\left(-10\right)\Longrightarrow$
