What is Volume?
Volume is the amount of space inside an object
We use cubes to describe the volume of solids

Cubic Centimetres
A cubic centimtre has a length, width and height of 1 cm
We use cubic centimetres because they are small, and because they equal 1 millilitre

How do you calculate volume?
It is easy!
Just multiply the length by the width, and then multiply that number by the height
2 x 2 = 4, and 4 x 4 = 16
