What is Volume?

• Volume is the amount of space inside an object

• We use cubes to describe the volume of solids

• We use cubic centimetres because they are small, and because they equal 1 millilitre

How do you calculate volume?

• It is easy!

• Just multiply the length by the width, and then multiply that number by the height
