On February 2, 1876, the National League of Professional Baseball Clubs, which comes to be more commonly known as the National League (NL), is formed. The American League (AL) was established in 1901 and in 1903, the first World Series was held.

The object of baseball is to score more runs than your opponent. The idea is to hit the ball thrown at you as far as you can before running around 4 bases to complete a run. Once a player manages to get around the four bases before being tagged out, then another batter steps in.

  • The history and origin of the Badminton game begins from the ancient Greece and China dated more than 2,000 years ago, where games with shuttlecock were used. A similar game called “Hanetsuki” was also played in Japan in the 16th century.

- It can be played as singles or doubles.

- Shuttlecock may NOT be hit twice on a side.

- The racket can follow through over the net, but may NOT touch thenet. You may NOT reach over the net to contact shuttlecock.

  •  Volleyball, game played by two teams, usually of six players on a side, in which the players use their hands to bat a ball back and forth over a high net, trying to make the ball touch the court within the opponents’ playing area before it can be returned.

- Volleyball was invented in 1895 by William G. Morgan, physical director of the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) in Holyoke, Massachusetts.

- Volleyball was introduced into Europe by American troops during World War I, when national organizations were formed.

- Volleyball requires a minimum of equipment and space and can be played indoors or outdoors.
