Why is the pandemic so bad for domestic helpers in Hong Kong?

Why the domestic helpers suffer more than most people in the pandemic?

• They live in small rooms or crowded places. Social distancing is harder for them.

• If they live with a cruel family, they will be stuck inside with horrible people.

• They cannot go home to see their families because of quaratine rules.

• Their only day off is on Sunday. If there is a lockdown, they will have to stay at home. Their family might make them work 7 days a week.

• Some people believe that, because they are from poor countries, they are more likely to have the virus. They blame them for spreading it.

• They cannot meet their friends in restaurants if they are closed.
