1: Learn to Listen
It is easy to forget that communication is a 2 way street.
We start doing more ‘broadcasting’, where we just issue a message, and fail to listen to the response.
Most of the time we are not listening to the conversation, but thinking about what we plan to say next.
10
Learn to Listen
Learning to listen means not only paying attention to the words being spoken but also how they are being spoken and the non-verbal messages sent with them.
Good listeners use the techniques of clarification and reflection to confirm what the other person has said and avoid any confusion.
11
2: Understanding Non-Verbal Communication
About 80% of the message is communicated non-verbally
It is important to consider and understand non-verbal communication especially when it is absent or reduced. For example an email or phone call.

3: Emotional Management
