Practice describing clothings with adjectives, fabrics and patterns

Llevar= to wear

Llevar is an -ar verb so stop (find the -ar ending), drop (get rid of the -ar ) and roll (add on the new ending)

• Yo llevo...= I wear

• Tú llevas...= You (inf.) wear

• Él/Ella/Usted lleva...= He/She wears, You (f.) wear

• Nosotros llevamos...= We wear

• Ellos/Ellas/Ustedes llevan...= They (m)/They (f)/You all wear

Describing clothing with adjectives

• In Spanish, adjectives go after the noun they describe.

• Why? Because they must agree for gender and number with the noun.

• Adjectives that end with -o, change to -a for feminine nouns and add -s to make either one plural

• Adjectives that end with -e ar neutral for gender and add -s to make them plural

• Adjectives that end with consonants are neutral for gender and add -es to make them plural
