As we saw in the previous slide, verbs that end in ARE follow a specific form. (PS: THIS IS ONLY FOR REGULAR VERBS)
Meaning that each person will always end with the same syllables. For example when we conjugate mangiare for the first person singular we say: Io mangio
When we conjugate the verb parlare (meaning to talk) we say: Io parlo

PARTICIPIO PASSATO
To form the participio passato of a verb we make use of ESSERE and AVERE. For this reason they are known as auxiliaries.
Participio passato indicates the simple past tense of a verb, an action that happened in the past but a past that isn't too far. For example if I completed an action yesterday I'd use participio passato
12
MANGIARE - PARTICIPIO PASSATO
Mangiare = Mangiato
All verbs ending in ARE when in the participio passato will end in ATO. For example camminare becomes camminato and parlare becomes parlato.
