FIRST CONDITIONAL

Χρησιμοποιείται για κάτι που είναι πιθανόν να συμβεί στο παρόν ή στο μέλλον.

If + present simple ---- will + infinitive (απαρέμφατο χωρίς to)

If it rains we will stay at home.

Αντί if μπορούμε να χρησιμοποιήσουμε το when.

When I arrive home tonight, you will be there?

Αντί will μπορούμε να χρησιμοποιήσουμε modal ( can,shall,may,must)

If you finish everything you may go home earlier.

SECOND CONDITIONAL

Χρησιμοποιείται για καταστάσεις φανταστικές και απίθανες να συμβούν.

If + past simple ---- would + infinitive

If I were famous, I would be happy.

Αντί would μπορούμε να χρησιμοποιήσουμε could,might.

If you were a lawyer, you could help a lot of people.

Στον υποθετικό λόγο μπορούμε να βάλουμε were σε όλα τα πρόσωπα.

THIRD CONDITIONAL

Χρησιμοποιείται για κάτι που μετανιώσαμε ή που δεν έγινε στο παρελθόν .

If +past perfect ----- would + have + past participle

If I hadn’t run down the stairs, I would have hurt myself.
