• V2 hoàn thành trước V1: V2: have+ V2-ed/ have + been +V2-ing. Vd: She claimed to have met the Queen. She appears to have been working the whole morning.

• nếu V2 miêu tả hành động đang xảy ra=> chia tiếp diễn. Vd: Jane seems to be reading books in her room now.

Form: S+ V1+ V2+.......

• Khi V2 mang nghĩa bị động=> chia V2 ở dạng bị động với thì tương ứng.

• Vd1: The car seems to have been taken last night.

• Vd2: John is angry for being cheated by his wife. / John is angry for having been cheated by his wife.
