Sets are represented as a collection of well-defined objects or elements and it does not change from person to person. A set is represented by a capital letter.
Example: A set of vowels in the English Alphabet.
Let's say "A" is the name of this set, so,
A = {a,e,i,o,u}

The collection of all possible outcomes. The totality of the set.

PROBABILITY OF AN EVENT (n)
set of outcomes of an experiment.

TYPES OF EVENTS IN PROBABILITY
IMPOSSIBLE EVENT (NULL) - cannot happen, denoted by { }
SURE EVENT - occurs always, all possible outcomes in an event.
SIMPLE OR ELEMENTARY EVENT - only one element
COMPLEMENTARY EVENT - set of all elements in S which are not in A. Denoted by A'
