Three Gorges Dam

  • The Chinese has built dams throughout the country to control their water sources.

  • The largest dam is the Three Gorges Dam.

  • The Three Gorges Dam helps to control flooding and river traffic as well as create hydroelectric power.

  • One downside to building these large dams is that it destroys habitats upstream.
