So, what is a fraction?

Fractions are cutting 1 thing into parts.

• If you have a cake, and you cut it into 4 pieces.

• Then, are there four 4 cakes? No. Because you cut it into 4 pieces.

• Then we call them 4 in the bottom part, called denominator.

• The numerator is how many pieces you ate.
