How to work out Scale

2
Scale is all about Proportion (how much bigger something is compared to something else)
If a scale on a plan/map/drawing is 1:1250 that means everything in real life is 1250 times bigger.
For example, if scale is 1:500, 3cm on the map/drawing will be 3cm x 500 (1500cm) in real life.
Likewise, if the scale is 1:500, 750cm in real life will be 750 ÷ 500 (1.5cm) on the map/drawing
