  • Rich and poor people travelled separately

  • First class carriages were for rich people. They were very comfortable.

  • Second class carriages usually had wooden seats

  • The cheapest way to travel was third class. Some carriages had no roofs and no seats

 The first-class passengers had upholstered seats and were more spacious than the other carriages

This carriage had wooden seats and only one window which was at the door

They had no roofs or windows and passengers had to sit on wooden seats. They were the least comfortable
