Millions of houses were built in the Victorian era thanks to the industrial revolution and the consequent housing booms.
Victorian house were often made of red bricks. Sometimes the the walls were topped with a triangle that pointed to the sky -a gable
Workers houses were usually terraced -built in a joined up row .They were often small and cramped.

Houses on the edge of the town were larger and could be three or more stories tall.
Some examples of Victorian buildings that are still in use today are such as The Houses of Parliament in London , The Crystal Palace and The Midland Grand hotel
