What is area?

Area is the measurement inside any shape or object. Example sentence: The area of this soccer ball is 50 cm2!

How do you measure area?

Area is measured by multiplying 2 even sides together, or counting the edge and multiplying by the 2 even numbers of the output. You put a '2' sign next to the measurement number and unit of measurement.

Word Problems:

Adam's square is equal to 3cm on THREE SIDES. What is the area? A=1cm2.

What is perimeter?

Perimeter is like the fence around the house, or in mathematical terms, "the outline of the shape and the edge as other well known"

How do you measure perimeter?

To measure perimeter, you add up all of the edges. The area is the inside measurement, but let's focus on perimeter.
