Filipinos love to eat rice and corn. Both grow in all parts of the country and can be bought everywhere. Rice and corn are considered cereals and staple food of people in many countries. While corn can be eaten alone, rice needs viand to go along with it.
5
According to Organic Facts, corn is rich in many nutrients including magnesium, phosphorous, manganese, zinc, copper, iron, selenium and small amounts of potassium. It also contains vitamin B and traces of vitamins A and E. Corn is good for the skin and the nervous system.
6
Rice is rich in protein, phosphorous, and iron. It is in the outer layer of rice that most minerals and nutrients are found in large quantities. That is why brown rice is better than white. A small amount of vitamin B is also found in rice. It is good for those suffering from diarrhea, dysentery, high blood pressure and skin disorder.
7

As the COVID-19 outbreak continue to evolve, comparisons
have been drawn to influenza. They are both cause by respiratory disease, which presents a wide range of illness from asymptomatic or mild through to severe disease and death. They are transmitted by contact, droplets and fomites. As a result, the same public health measures, such as hand hygiene and good respiratory etiquette (coughing into your elbow or into a tissue and immediately disposing of the tissue), are important actions all can take to prevent infection.
24
Influenza is caused by infection with influenza viruses. It has a shorter median incubation period (the time from infection to appearance of symptoms) and a shorter serial interval (the time between successive cases). The serial interval for influenza virus is 3 days. This means it spread faster than COVID-19. Those most at risk for severe influenza infection are children, pregnant women, elderly, those with underlying chronic medical conditions and those who are immunosuppressed.
25
COVID-19 is caused by infection with a new coronavirus (called SARS-CoV-2). Its serial interval is estimated to be 5-6days. Initial data indicates that children are less affected than adults and that clinical attack rates in the 0-19 age group are low. For COVID-19 our current underlying conditions increase the risk for severe infection.
