SAFETY FROM FIRE

fire can be caused due to many reasons

objects that can cause fire

• gas cylender( high temperature )

• matchstics( low temperature )

• candle( low temperature )

• oil. examples are diesel, petrol, CNG, gasoline, etc.(high temperature)

• fire crackers burning while wearing synthetic clothes and while carelessness( depend on the present climate)

• electrical faults(high temperature)

• gas leaks and faulty gas pipes(high temperature)

reasons that can cause fire

• carelessness while handling burning matchstics and candles is one of a major cause of fire accidents.

• electrical faults can cause fire outbursts.

• carelessness while cooking and gas leaks can cause fire.

ways we can do to prevent fire accidents

• never play with matchstics and candles.

• ilectrical affliances should be checked regularly.

• wear cotton or wool clothes while handling fire.

• replace faulty gas pipes should be replaced and many more

ways we can do to extinguish fire

• fire may spread very quickly. you know that fire needs air to keep burning. one method of putting out fire is to cut off the air supply. this can be done by putting mud/sand over the fire. .

• in case of a major fire, inform the nearest fire station. firefighters put of fire with the help of a fire engine.

• minor fire can be putted off by a special instrument called fire extinguisher.

• in case your or someone el`se cothes catch fire, do not run around. this will fan the flames and make them spread. stop where you are ; drop to the ground and roll on the ground with covering your face or cover yourself with a blanket or a rug. do not cover yourself for a long time.
