1. 比喻
比喻就是打比方。描写事物或说明道理时，用和它有相似点的事物或道理打比方，叫比喻。
一般要用具体的、浅显的、人们比较熟悉的事物比那些抽象的、深奥的、陌生的事物。
比喻包括：本体、喻词、喻体。

2. 比拟（拟人、拟物）
拟人是借助想象力，把事物当作人来写。即赋予它们人的言行、思想、感情等。

3. 夸张
夸张对描写的事物有意识地加以夸大或缩小，以突出事物的特征，表达作者的感情，引起读者的联想，加深印象。

4. 设问
设问为了引起读者的注意或思考，先自行提出问题，再自己进行回答。即自问自答。

5. 反问
反问将明确的意思用问句的形式表达出来，即只问不答，问中有答
