The Heart

• The heart is located between the sternum and lungs.

• There are four chambers in the heart:

• Two upper called atria – receive blood into the heart

• Two lower called ventricles – pump blood out of the heart

• The main function of the cardiovascular system is to ensure that there is sufficient blood flow to the body.
