The words in RED (leave/reads) are verbs in SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE.
SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE is used:
to show habits, regular actions or to refer to present time
to state general facts

Word in the simple present tense comes in two verb forms:
base verb ...................for: I/YOU/WE/THEY
verb + s/es/ies................for: HE/SHE/IT
E.g. write
I write a letter./You write a letter./We write a letter./They write a letter.
He writes a letter./She writes a letter./It writes a letter.

BASE VERB:
You use the base verb when the subject noun refers to I/You/We/They
I/You/We/They + verb + ..........
I brush my teeth every day.
You drive to work daily.
We have breakfast now.
They walk to school together.

VERB + s/es/ies
You use the verb + s/es/ies when the subject noun is SINGULAR / refers to -->[He/She/It]

It carries its young to safety.
