What is a Government?

  • A government is the system or group of people governing an organized community, generally a state.

  • Governments make laws, rules, and regulations, collect taxes and print money.

  • government plays an major role in developing and maintaining economic security in society.

legislature, executive, and judiciary.

Legislature Government

  • The legislature is that organ of the government which passes the laws of the government.

  • It is the agency which has the responsibility to formulate the will of the state and vest it with legal authority and force.

  • In simple words, the legislature is that organ of the government which formulates laws.

What is the Main Job of the Legislature?

The legislative branch is made up of the House and Senate, known collectively as the Congress. Among other powers, the legislative branch makes all laws, declares war, regulates interstate and foreign commerce and controls taxing and spending policies.

Executive Government

  • The Union executive consists of the President, the Vice-President, and the Council of Ministers.

  • The executive branch consists of the president, vice president, and a Council of Ministers, led by the prime minister. Within the legislative branch are the two houses of parliament

  • An executive directs, plans, and coordinates operational activities for their organization or company and are normally responsible for devising policies and strategies to meet company goals. 

  • Executives often travel to attend meetings and conferences and visit regional, local, national, or international offices.

  • The judiciary is the system of courts that adjudicates legal disputes/disagreements and interprets, defends, and applies the law in legal cases.

the judicial system, judicature, judicial branch, judiciative branch, and court or judiciary system.

What is the main Job of Judiciary?

  • The Judiciary is a system of courts which interpret and apply the law.

  • The role of the courts is to decide cases by determining the relevant facts and the relevant law, and applying the relevant facts to the relevant law.
