When we talk about time, we can say:

• seconds, minutes, hours

• days, weeks, years, decades, centuries

• morning, afternoon, night

• sunrise, sunset

• today, tomorrow, yesterday, last week, next week

There are many tools to tell time:

• clocks, watches, hour glasses

• timetables, calendars and diaries

• the sun, the moon

Let's tell the time .

• Let's use an analog clock that has the hour and minute hands.

Now, let's learn the minute. Each line is a minute.

• 12 is 0 minute[:00]. From 12 to 1 is 5 minutes[:05]. Instead of counting every single line, you count each large number as five minutes.

• 1 is five minutes[:05], 2 is ten minutes[:10], 3 is fifteen minutes[:15] and so on until 12 which is sixty minutes[:00].

Look at the hour hand, then the minute hand.

• If the hour hand is between 1 and 2, it is 1:__ ; if the hour hand is between 7 and 8, it is 8:__

• For the minute hand, every line is counted as a minute.
