Inkathi yamanje

  • Always look for the verb (isenzo)

  • The Verb should end with an 'a'

  • e.g. Ngihamba nabazali bami - I am going with my parents.

  • Ngiyahamba.

Inkathi ezayo

  • Always look for the verb.

  • Add 'zo' in between the concord and the verb

  • e.g. Ngizohamba nabazali bami.

  • Ngizohamba.

  • 'zo' can also go in between a verb prefix and a verb e.g. uRhulani uzohamba manje.

  • If the sentence has 'ya' e.g. Ngiyahamba then you replace the 'ya' with a 'zo' e.g. Ngizohamba.

  • Always look for the verb.

  • Replace the last letter of the verb with an 'e' e.g. Uhamba nabazali - Uhambe nabazali.

  • If the sentence had 'ya' then you drop the 'ya' and replace the last letter with 'ile' e.g. Uyahamba. - Uhambile.
