Matter is all around us. It is everything that takes up space and has a mass. Everything around us is matter. The air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat, they are all matter.

MASS

Mass is the amount of material an object has.

The bigger stone is heavier. This means that it has more mass because it has more materials in it.

Volume is the amount of space the object takes up.
