What is Simple Present Tense?

Simple present tense is a verb form to express facts, habits, or events that are happening at this time.

dengan kata lain, Simple present tense adalah sebuah tenses yang menyatakan kata kerja atau aktivitas/ Kebiasaan yang berlangsung sehari hari.

For Example:

• They go to school everyday

• I always clean my room

• My mother works 8 hours a day

• She sends much money to her parents in the village every month

Rumus Simple Present Tense

S + verb-1/be (am/is/are) => jika kalimatnya positif

contoh:

1. She likes eating out

2. The children are naughty

S + auxiliary (do/does) + not + bare infinitive => jika kalimatnya negatif

contoh:

1. She doesn't like eating out

(doesn't merupakan singkatan dari does + not, dan hanya digunakan untuk she, he it).

2. They don't like eating out. (don't hanya dipakai untuk I,They, You, We)
