THE SOMATIC SYSTEM

• Responsible of movement of voluntary muscles.

• Made of two types of neurons: sensory and motor neurons.

• Sensory neurons:  transmit messages to the central nervous system

• Motor neurons: pass on information from the central nervous system to other areas of the body.
