Modal Verbs

(3rd Person)

"Must", "have to" e "should" são verbos modais.

Eles podem alterar o sentido de uma frase, geralmente potencializar um verbo principal.

Must

• Expressa obrigatoriedade, necessidade extrema, um dever inquestionável;

• You must do your homework.

• Riley must do her homework.

Have to

• Expressa uma afirmação, não necessariamente uma obrigação, mas uma necessidade;

• You have to do your homework.

• Riley has to do her homework.

• Joy and Sadness have to help Riley.

Should

• Expressa um conselho ou possibilidade;

• You should do your homework.

• Riley should do her homework.

• Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust should work together.

• Have to: necessidade/necessity-> muda na terceira pessoa do singular (He/She/It)
