Pengertian Recount Text

Recount artinya mendeskripsikan bagaimana sesuatu terjadi, atau menceritakan sebuah cerita. Maka recount text bisa disebut sebagai teks yang isinya menceritakan sesuatu. Teks recount pengalaman pribadi merupakan jenis teks recount atau cerita yang berdasarkan pengalaman pribadi penulis.

Fungsi sosial Teks recount

Pengalaman pribadi biasanya berupa pengalaman yang dianggap menarik atau berkesan. Penulis menceritakan kembali apa yang dialaminya kepada para pembaca. Maka dari itu, fungsi dari teks tersebut adalah entertain the readers atau menghibur pembaca.

Struktur teks

Sebagaimana struktur teks recount pada umumnya, teks recount pengalaman pribadi juga mempunyai struktur sebagai berikut:

1. Orientation

Bagian ini menceritakan latar belakang ceritanya. Misalnya siapa (yang terlibat), di mana peristiwa atau kejadian berlangsung, dan kapan itu terjadi. Informasi tentang siapa, di mana, dan kapan sangat penting untuk dicantumkan agar pembaca bisa memahami ceritanya.

2. Events Bagian ini mencakup kejadian secara rinci, yaitu tentang how (bagaimana) dan why (mengapa) cerita tersebut terjadi. Events atau peristiwa diceritakan secara kronologis atau berurutan.

3. Reorientation Bagian ini menjadi penutup cerita. Biasanya berupa komentar penulis tentang pengalaman yang dialaminya.
