​ANIMALS IN THE HUMAN WORLD

​Wherever you travel, you can see animals being walked,

​herded,

​fed

​or cuddled.

​The close relationship with animals is a universal human trait [a characteristic, esp. of a personality] that is not confined [to limit an activity, person, or problem in some way] to one particular culture,

​geographic region,

or ethnic group.

​A. Food Sniffer Dogs

​

​Jacques is one member of the Beagle Brigade, a group of beagles that work at international airports in the United States.

​Their job is to smell and find illegal fruits, vegetables and other foods in luggage and mail.

​

These foods sometimes bring insects and diseases which could be dangerous for plants and animals.

​

​

The Beagle calmly sits down next to anything that smells suspicious.

​

​

​

​

The dog's human partner then checks for illegal foods.

​

Why beagles?

​

They're friendly and cute, so they don't scare people as they sniff through the crowds.

More importantly, beagles have an astonishing nose for food.

​The Beagle Brigade can find food in luggage and packages 84% of the time!

​B. Treated Like a Queen

​

​

Jane A. Kelly who works as a

feline [relating to the cat family] blog writer owns 3 feline cats which are

Siouxsie, Thomas and Bella.

She admits that she spoils the cats by feeding them

​

species-appropriate diet food that contains enough nutrient for her cats.

​

​

She also provides her cats with cat carriers along with washable sheepskin lined pillow on the bottom and even prepared them with cat books.

​

The three feline cats own luxury and designer beds. It provides them with a heated circle that ease their bones even though her cats always sleep in her bed.

​Jane also admits that her housing choice based on her cats desire “one of my must haves when I was looking for my most recent rental, was  plenty of

sun puddles [a bright warm spot on the floor or other surface created by the sun streaming through a window]

for the cats,” she says
