Here we will review whole notes and whole rests, half notes and half rests and quarter notes and rests. We have discussed these in class and you play them in your music, now we will put our knowledge to good use!

These notes and rests are used to create music.

In a measure, you can only have a total of 4 beats. Whole, half and quarter notes and rests are the foundation for most of the music that you play!

Assignment

• Create a song using FLAT.

• Here is the what your song needs

• 1. It needs to be 8 measures in length

• 2. You need to use all note and rest values, whole, half and quarter-ATTENTION! You can only use one whole note and one whole rest in your entire song!
