The Exclamation Mark !
The exclamation mark is used to express a strong emotion or sudden surprise. It can be used in the following ways:
1. To express a command or warning
eg. Leave at once!
Walk carefully! It is very slippery!
2.To show emotion
eg. That hurts!
Help! I am stuck!
3.To express wish or regret
eg. I wish I could win the jackpot!
4. To show contempt, disgust or to hurt insults
eg. How utterly disgusting!

The Colon :
The colon is used to introduce a list of items and to also separate hours and minutes when writing time.
eg.
Melissa went to the market and bought: tomatoes, cabbage and pepper.
12:30 a.m.
1:45 p.m.

The Semi-colon
The semi-colon can be used in place of a conjunction when two sentences are similar.
eg.
I went to Scarborough; Tobago and Port of Spain; Trinidad.
