Measurement

is the process of associating numbers of an object or event.

Physical quantity is

is a property of a material or system that can be quantified by measurement. Express in number and unit.

Unit of measurement

is a definite magnitude of a quantity, that is used as a standard for measurement of the same kind of quantity.

There are two types of quantity and unit

• Base quantity and base unit

• Derived quantity and derived unit

Converting

In making measurement we have to be able to convert base unit to smaller or bigger unit. We can use metric staircase to help us converting unit.
