Government

A government looks after the well being of the people living in a country or a state.

It also makes rules and ensures that these are followed by the people.

Role of Government

• It makes laws and makes sure that people follow them.

• It looks after the basic needs of citizens.

• It builds and look after the public places.

• It builds and maintains friendly relations with other countries.

• It looks after our national wealth, such as monuments , forests and wildlife.

• It protects our country from foreign attacks.

Central Government

It takes care of things that are important for the whole country.

Functions :

• Protecting country from Foreign attack.

• Building railways

• Looking after the wealth of our country.

• It is headed by the primeminister.

State Government

Every state has its own government which looks after the various needs of that state.

Function :

• Education

• Healthcare

• Law and Order

• Hygiene

• Sanitation

• Water Supply

• Chief Minister look at the functioning of the state.

Local Government

Every sate has many towns, cities, and villages .

The local self governing bodies look after the basic needs of the people living in towns , cities and villages.

The Indian Court

Court solves disputes .

Take action against people or organisation.
