Why passive voice?

​1.       To tell something that we are really interested to

2.       To tell something that we do not know the exact thing

​

​1.       The house was built in 1654 (we are interested to the house itself, not the person that built the house) (we do not know the person built it)

2.       The road is being repaired (we are interested to the road itself, not the person that built the house)

Myths and Truths

​1.       This is not important

2.       It doesn’t form proper sentences

3.       The formula doesn't fit well

​Differences

1.       Active = The subject performs an action.

2.       Passive = The subject receives the action.​
