● What have you learned from the talk you have watched?
● What did you feel after watching the talk?
● If you find it a problem, what possible solutions can you provide? Or how can you help in finding a solution?

Key Points
A) A critical understanding of one’s source of information is essential in making a summary. Highlighting and knowing the important details or main points of a text will help you see a clear picture or have a skeletal form of what you will need to write to have a brief written statement
or an abstract. In this module, you will learn that you could sum up, paraphrase or explain a text using your own words.
B) These skills, once acquired will equip you to make better and more appropriate Academic and Professional papers like position, report, concept, and reaction papers
11
WHAT IS PARAPHRASING?
● Paraphrase is to restate the passage using one’s own words (Dapat, 2018).
● It is one of the ways to avoid plagiarism. Paraphrasing is shorter than the original text and more detailed than a summary (Saqueton and Uychoco, 2016).
● Simplifying words (like scientific, slang, or archaic words) to ordinary layman’s terms (Dadufalza, as cited in Marcial, Cruz, & Silva, 2018).

Open Ended
Integrity is the completeness one feels when one leads an honest and moral life. Integrity is wisely choosing between what is right and what is wrong. If a person has nothing else, he can always feel proud of his integrity. Integrity helps a person to make trustworthy bonds with people around him.
15
Open Ended
Integrity is not something one can purely teach to others. It is more of a virtue that comes from within a person. Integrity is something a man needs to be proud of because it is a valuable possession no one can take away from him. Integrity means being honest and authentic to oneself and following a strict set of rules. Without integrity, the world would be merely anarchy.
16
Values Integration
We learn that when we paraphrase we should not be copying the exact word but rather retell/rewrite it the way we understand it. Also, we must give credit to the owner of the information to give respect to their effort and intelligence. The same goes for life. We can make other's lives like our guides. We should not be copying the way they live their life but rather make our own for we are all created fearfully and wonderfully.

WHAT IS PLAGIARISM?
According to Wyson, plagiarism is an act of fraud. It involves stealing someone else’s work and is considered a serious ethical offense.
19
Common Types of Plagiarism
● Word-for-Word (Verbatim) Plagiarism – also known as cut-and-paste plagiarism. This happens when a researcher copies the work of another writer word-for-word or verbatim and claims it as his or her own.
● Word Order Plagiarism – this happens when a writer changes some of the words of another author to make the work look as if it were his or her own.
● Idea Plagiarism – this happens when a writer paraphrases a work and includes it into his or her own article without proper attribution.
