​Course Goals

Science courses require attentiveness and participation. It is a student-oriented class.

• ​Ensure students are studying/working often.

• ​Check Canvas AND Pinnacle grades.

  • ​Canvas graded assignments are usually completed BEFORE it is entered in pinnacle.

• ​Check your e-mail (I use parent link at times)

As a parent, when would be a good time to check my child's progress in class?

• Send an e-mail everyday of the week.

• Ask for student grade at the end of every quarter

• At the end of every week via Canvas AND Pinnacle

• Just look at pinnacle. It has everything I need.

​Academic Expectations

​Late Work = - 2-3% each day

​Skipping class = Late work may not be accepted.

​Excuse absences immediately to avoid confusion.

​If absence is excused:

• ​Assignments are due within 2 classes

• ​Time=Time absent (5 days out=5 days to make up assignment)

• ​Quizzes & Tests must be made up within a week of returning to class.

​Biology is an EOC course, so there is a high expectation for students to stay attentive and work hard! EOC is worth 30% of the 2nd Semester grade.
