​The school band are practicing their instruments for a concert. Carla plays the drums, but she is scared. “I don’t want to play in the concert,” she says to Mr. King, her teacher.

Mr. King gets an idea, “Listen.”

The children play their instruments, but Carla doesn’t play the drums. The music sounds awful. “Carla, we need you to keep the beat. Can you help?”

“Yes, I can,” says Carla.

The concert is wonderful. Everyone is dancing and clapping. Carla isn’t scared, she is happy now!
