​The Beginning

​You wake up in the Shrine of Resurrection. First, you need to get the Sheikah Slate. This will be used to activate runes, have a map of Hyrule, and much more. If you open the chests in this shrine, you will find an old shirt and well worn trousers. You can put them on if you'd like. Next, go outside and meet the Old Man. He is an important character. So after you talk with him, a dot will appear on your Sheikah Slate. Follow it to activate the Great Plateau Tower. Cool! By activating this tower, you get the regional map of the Great Plateau. Now climb down the tower, and the Old Man will use a glider to fly down and see you.

​The Beginning II

​At the top of the tower, Link will hear a voice at the castle. After he climbs down, the Old Man will glide down and talk to you. He explains that the Plateau is surrounded by steep walls that are too tall to climb down, and jumping off; "No death could be more certain or foolish" -Old Man. He says that if you want to make your way to the castle, you will need the paraglider. He will give it to you if you complete a shrine and get the "treasure". So what are you waiting for? Go to the shrine.

​The Isolated Plateau

​The shrine that the old man shows you is Oman Au shrine, the magnesis trial. It is relatively easy to beat. When you complete the shrine, you obtain a spirit orb. When you go back to the Old Man, he changes the deal. You have to beat three more shrines to get the paraglider. The stasis shrine, is due north of the Old Man's cabin. The cryonis shrine, is in the snowy region of the Great Plateau. You can also find the Warm Doublet in this area. This provides cold resistance, which you need to reach the shrine. The final shrine, which gives you the remote bomb rune, is in an area west of the Great Plateau Tower surrounded by Guardians.
