​LOWER JAW FRACTURE

​下巴脱臼

​Sign and symptoms

​-difficulty in speaking, swallowing and moving the jaw

-pain and nausea反胃 when moving the jaw

-displaced or loose teeth and dribbling (basically 流口水）

BANDAGING TREATMENT

​TREATMENT

1. If the injury is not serious, help the casualty sit with his head forward to allow fluids to drain from their mouth. Encourage them to spit out any loose teeth. (keep them to send to the hospital with them)

2. Give casualty a soft pad to hold firmly against his jaw in order to support it, you can also use bandages to support their jaw by tying it like the picture above.

3. Arrange or take the casualty to the hospital, make sure their jaw is supported throughout.

• { If the injury is swollen, apply ice to the jaw to help control the swelling on the way to be seen by the doctor. }

• { If the casualty has a nosebleed, pinch their nose and tilt their head forward to stop the bleeding.}

1. 如果伤势不严重，帮助伤员坐好，头部向前，让液体从他们的嘴里流出。鼓励他们吐掉任何松动的牙齿。 （收着它，一起带去医院）

2. 给伤员一个柔软的垫子，牢牢固定在他的下巴上以支撑它，你也可以像上图一样用绷带绑住他们的下巴。

-Pain and tenderness, increased by movement

-Swelling and deformity of the shoulder 

-Attempts by the casualty to relax muscles and relieve pain, they may support their arm at elbow, and incline倾斜 their head to injured side.

​TREATMENT

​

1. Help the casualty to sit down. Gently placed the injured arm across their body and the position that they find most comfortable. Ask them to support the elbow on the injured side with their other hand or help them to do it.

2. Support the arm on the affected side with an arm sling (refer to the video above). Make sure the knot is clear of the site of injury.

3. For extra support, secure the arm to the chest by tying a broad-fold bandage around  the chest and the sling. Once the arm is supported the casualty will be more comfortable.

4. Arrange to take or send the casualty to hospital in a sitting position.
